Dock to Dish Member Agreement
A Community Supported Fishery Program
The following simple terms outline our commitment to you, and yours to us. Please read all sections carefully, because when you agree to become a member, you are fully agreeing to these terms.
Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
All Dock to Dish products contain either finfish or shellfish. To prevent a reaction, it is essential that any person who believes they may have an allergy to shellfish or finfish or seafood of any kind must maintain strict avoidance of shellfish and finfish and seafood products of any kind.
During this season, we are offering individual level shares of approximately two (2) lbs of fish per week. As a frame of reference, this amount of fish can comfortably feed four (4) people during one meal per week, or two (2) people twice per week. We are also offering family level shares which are approximately twice that size and serve twice as many guests. All shares will consist of filleted fish. While our fishermen will do their best to make sure the fillets are boneless, we can never guarantee that every share will be free of all bones. Please be mindful and aware of this as you prepare and enjoy your fillets.
Upon becoming a member of Dock to Dish, you will receive a custom insulated tote bag, as well as eco-friendly non-toxic cold packs and HACCP thermometer with your first pick up. While it is our responsibility to keep your fish safely refrigerated from the moment it leaves the water, to the dock and to the time you pick it up, once it is in your hands it becomes your responsibility. As seafood must be kept cold (<40 degrees) at all times until it is enjoyed, so Dock to Dish strongly encourages you to place your share in a refrigerator if you do not plan to make a meal with it immediately. If you have a long ride, plan ahead and bring additional ice or cold packs. Once you pick up your share, Dock to Dish is no longer responsible for it. We ask that you bring your Dock to Dish bag, thermometer and FROZEN cold packs back to your pick up location each week when you return for your share.
When you become a member, you must provide Dock to Dish with an e-mail address. In the event that there are any changes to the pick up details, we will do our best to notify you at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. However, if inclement weather, other acts of nature, or other events beyond Dock to Dish’s control occur that prevent us from making your shares available for pick up, we will do our best to notify you as soon as safely possible. However, Dock to Dish will only issue reimbursements or refunds if the shares are not made available by us due to our own fault.
There may be times when you will not be able to pick up your scheduled share, or would prefer not to receive it on a particular week due to travel or other reasons. You may either arrange for someone else to enjoy your share that week. If that is your choice, just be sure to provide us with that person’s name so that we know to release it to him or her in your stead. If you would like to skip a particular week, you must do so at least five (5) days in advance of your scheduled pick up, via email. However, you may not skip a week if it is the last week of your share agreement. If life happens and you are unable to provide us with notice that you will not be enjoying a particular week’s share, Dock to Dish will consider that share forfeited, and it will be handled at Dock to Dish’s discretion. Unfortunately, Dock to Dish will not issue reimbursements or refunds for shares left unclaimed.
All payments are accepted via our secure online account or check. When you become a member, you will be guided as to the terms and instructions for submitting payment.
